This quote ( Lord Kelvin) interested me:
"Do not imagine that mathematics is hard and crabbed, and repulsive to common sense. It is merely the etherialization of common sense.”
The way math is taught in most schools in India gives the impression that mathematics is devoid of common sense. It is my opinion that once this way of teaching is replaced by "a common sense" method of teaching, research minds will benefit to a large extent.
